 This Blue was caught off my dock on Kerr Lake near the Flemingtown boat launch the evening of July 24th. Cut white perch was the bait. The fish was 44" long and was somewhere above the 40lb. limit of my scale. This is the forth citation size fish at this location in the past few weeks, without a lot of fishing time involved. Big cats are in the shallower water after dark. |

 Hit Kerr about 8:30 or so this morning. Headed out to the area near the marina and started trolling. Made the turn around Satterwhite point to the left and passed inshore of the marker buoy. Marked striper in 25-30’ of water and fairly quickly had two on the same rod (crank bait and white inline spinner on 3-way rig). Got them aboard and was passing one of the swimming areas when the third striper hit a red and white spoon plug. Went back over the area twice more, but the schools had departed. All three fish were in the boat by 0930. I caught the perch and a small largemouth in 15’ of water as I was heading back to the launch ramp. I had the boat off the water by 11:30 am. Striper measured 18”, 19”, and about 23” |

 Less than an hour later Lee caught this 24lb. flathead. Then followed that with a 12lb. blue. All fish were CPR'ed. |

 27 July 2008 A.M., For the third day in a row fishing boat TALL BLONDE found strippers and caught them. The fishing pattern in more like October than July. Absolutely fabulous! P.S. also caught some white bass. |

The little guy and one of the big ones hit a chartreuse spinner bait, the other big one hit a raw shrimp on the bottom. All came from the same general area, probably all from same school. |
